Notice requesting a letter of intent to conduct an audit
(First published date of notice: 2082/05/03, N. No. 1145 Gulaga, Ekadashi) As per clause (b) of rule 17 of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Education Act, 2075, registered auditors for the final audit of schools within the metropolitan area for the financial year 2081/82 should scan the documents as per the details and send them to the email address given below within thirty days from the date of first publication of this notice. No fee will be charged for submitting the letter of intent. The applicant must mandatorily mention a clearly identifiable contact phone number and email address in the letter of intent. The remuneration for conducting the audit will be as specified in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City School Audit Procedure, 2075. Details
(a) In the case of community schools: The registered interested auditor should personally scan the application for the intention to audit and the following documents and certificates and send it to the following email address. Hard copies will not be accepted.
1. Application for audit,
2. Auditing license certificate,
3. Proof of renewal in the fiscal year 2081/82,
4. Taxpayer Certificate,
5. Certificate of citizenship of the proprietor, and
6. Departmental approval letter if the auditor is a tenured employee.
(b) In the case of institutional schools: A recommendation of at least three registered auditors, along with the decision of the School Management Committee of the concerned school, from among the auditors who have submitted a renewed license and tax payment certificate for the fiscal year 2081/82 from the licensed auditor for the audit, should be sent to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Education Department.

(d) Additional information and terms and conditions regarding the Letter of Intent
1. Among the auditors appointed by Kathmandu Metropolitan City in previous fiscal years, those who do not complete the audit of the school to which they are assigned within the specified time and do not submit the report on time will not be included in the selection process.
2. After completing the audit, one copy should be submitted to the concerned school, one copy to the Department of Education and one copy to the Internal Audit Unit. An electronic copy of the report should be sent to the email address [email protected]. The appointment of an auditor who does not submit the original and electronic copy of the audit report within the specified time will be cancelled and another auditor from the list will be appointed in his place.
3. The remuneration for the audit will be as specified in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City School Audit Procedure, 2075 BS. The remuneration will be provided only after the original copy and electronic copy of the audit report are submitted.
4. No action will be taken on letters of intent that are not received within the specified time and in the prescribed manner.
5. Matters not mentioned in the published notice shall be governed by the prevailing law.
6. The selection committee shall have the sole authority to recommend or reject the appointment of an auditor.
