Notice regarding the entrance examination to be conducted for the admission of undergraduate (B.E./B.Arch.) level students for the academic year 2082/083

Tri. V. Institute of Engineering, Information and Communication Technology Center (ICTC), Pulchowk, Lalitpur, Paschimanchal Campus, Pokhara and Purbanchal Campus, Dharan will conduct the entrance examination for admission of students to various undergraduate (B.E./B.Arch.) level programs for the academic year 2082/083 through computer-based method based on information technology from Bhadra 3, 2082 at the specified location, time and shift. This notice has been published for the information of all concerned.

The 5 constituent campuses and 10 affiliated colleges operating under the Institute of Engineering are as follows.

1. Minimum qualifications for application

1.1. Students who have passed the Proficiency Certificate Level or Higher Secondary Level or A Level or Engineering Diploma Level or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 11th and 12th grades from Tribhuvan University or an educational institution recognized by it and have secured at least 45% of the total marks and Letter Grading (in the case of NEB) and have obtained a minimum of C Grade in the Final Grade of each subject or have appeared in the final examination of Class 12th or equivalent or have appeared in the sixth semester examination of the Engineering Diploma will also be eligible to apply and participate in the entrance examination.

1.2. Foreign nationals will be allowed to apply only for full-fee programs. Seats equivalent to 1/12 of the full-fee seats allocated for programs run in the constituent campuses under the U.S.C. have been reserved for foreign nationals.

2. Method of filling the application form and required documents

2.1. Applicants must fill out the online application form for the entrance examination available on the IOE entrance examination website https://entrance.ioe.edu.np.

You will have to submit through the same website.

2.2. The Online Form on the website will be available only from 10:00 AM on 2082/04/13 to 5:00 PM on 2082/04/27. . Therefore, the form must be submitted in full within the specified period. The Online Form will automatically close after the specified time.

2.3. The application form can be filled out at any time on the specified days from any location with internet access.

2.4. Entrance examination fee is Rs. 2,000.- (literally two thousand rupees only).

You can pay the entrance exam fee using any of the following methods:

a) From any branch of Siddhartha Bank Ltd. Through the voucher prepared by that bank for the purpose of entrance examination.

b) Through Siddhartha BankSmart service provided by Siddhartha Bank Ltd. (No additional service charge)

c) Via Connect IPS/eSewa/Khalti wallet / IME Pay (additional service charges may apply)

When filling out the online form, it is mandatory to enter the bank voucher number or the Transaction ID Number received when making an electronic payment.

It must be completed by 5:00 PM on the same day.

Note: The amount paid for the examination fee will not be refunded.

2.5. The applicant must fill in the following information mandatorily, following the instructions given while filling out the form.

(a) Applicant's Profile: You will have to fill in your name and father's name, date of birth, permanent address, details of SLC / SEE and I.Sc. / 10+2 / A level / Engg. Diploma or similar results. You will also have to upload a recent 350×300 Pixel Color Digital Photo with a Plain Background showing the full forehead and clearly recognisable face (Photos of other sizes will not be accepted).

(b) When filling out the online form, please provide one of the following documents (such as citizenship certificate, national identity card, driving license, passport, I.Sc / 10+2 / Engg. Diploma final year/semester examination admit card) with a photograph and signature to identify yourself.

The scanned copy of the application form must be uploaded mentioning the number. (c) Since the number of candidates is limited for each date, location and shift, the applicant should fill out the form as soon as possible and confirm the date, location and shift of the exam that suits him/her. Once confirmed, the date, location and shift of the exam will not be changed.

2.6. After submitting the online examination form, you will have to print the Acknowledgement Page that you will receive immediately. On the Acknowledgement Page, confirm whether your name is available on the date, place and shift you have specified and if not, inform the Entrance Examination Board of the date.

Contact must be made by 1:00 PM on 04/30/2082.

2.7. After 2082/05/01, the admit card will be made available online in phases according to the exam date. The admit card will have to be downloaded and printed in color. The admit card will be mandatory to appear in the exam.

It is also mandatory to bring the original ID.

2.8. When coming for the entrance examination, please bring along your admit card along with your photo as per point no. 2.5 (b) to show your identity.

3. Information regarding entrance exams and admissions

3.1. This two-hour entrance examination, conducted through computer-based methods based on information technology, will have a total of 100 objective questions from English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as per the syllabus published on the IOE entrance examination website https://entrance.ioe.edu.np.

3.2. Points will be deducted at the rate of 10% for each incorrect answer.

3.3. Additional information regarding entrance exams and admissions can be obtained from the "Detailed Information Regarding Entrance Exams and Campus Admissions 2082" available on the IOE website, https://entrance.ioe.edu.np.

3.4. Candidates who wish to get admission in various quotas and reserved seats (for women, teachers/employees, inclusive disadvantaged reservation, for government and government-owned institutions, for foreign nationals) in the constituent campuses must prepare all the necessary documents published in "Detailed Information on Entrance Examination and Campus Admission - 2082" before the commencement of the campus/college admission schedule of the EC.

Note: There is a provision that candidates who pass the undergraduate level B.E./B.Arch entrance examination conducted by the Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering in the academic year 2082/083 will be eligible to be candidates for higher education scholarships in engineering subjects to be provided by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Government of Nepal, if they fulfill the legal criteria prescribed in the scholarship regulations.
