Information about applying for foreign employment scholarship assistance

This notice has been published for the information of all stakeholders concerned to submit an application for Foreign Employment Descendants Scholarship to the educational institution where they are studying, in accordance with Schedule (1) of the Foreign Employment Descendants Scholarship Operation Procedure, 2080, by mid-Kartik 2082 BS, in the format provided by this Secretariat.

1. The body to which the student submits the application: The school where the student is studying by mid-2082 Kartik

In the format as per Schedule 1 of the procedure, even if the student's permanent address is elsewhere, the student should submit a scholarship application to the school where he/she is studying, along with documents required by the ward office, including proof of relationship.

a) Documents to be submitted by students who are already receiving scholarships:

a) Application in the format as per Schedule 1,

b) Copy of the worker's passport,

c) Recommendation from the school where the class you are studying is open,

d) Current bank account of yourself or your guardian (copy of check).

A) Documents to be submitted by students receiving scholarships for the first time in the academic year 2082/083:

a) Application in the format as per Schedule-1,

b) Copy of the worker's passport,

c) Recommendation from the school where the class you are studying will be opened,

d) Copy of birth certificate,

e) Copy of the guardian's citizenship,

f) Copy of the relationship certificate of the worker, parent and student,

g) Current bank account (copy of check) of yourself or your guardian.

2. Target category of scholarship recipients:

Sons/daughters of workers who have received 100% financial assistance from the Foreign Employment Board due to death, dismemberment or illness in the course of foreign employment after obtaining a labor permit (100% financial assistance means Rs. 1 lakh from 2065/7/18 to 2068/2/19, Rs. 150 thousand from 2068/2/20 to 2071/6/30, Rs. 3 lakh from 2071/6/31 to 2074/4/15, Rs. 7 lakh from 2074/4/16 to 2081/07/07 and Rs. 1 million from 2082/08/08 till the last date for application. Beneficiaries who have died or dismembered but have not received the full amount for financial assistance/compensation will not be eligible for this scholarship).

Only children under the age of 18 studying in any community or institutional school in Nepal (pre-primary or nursery or equivalent to grade 12) can apply.

Scholarships for the academic year 2082 will be provided only to children of workers who receive financial assistance as mentioned above by mid-October 2082.

3. Scholarship amount limit:

Annually, Rs. 12,000. (Twelve thousand) will be provided for those studying at the basic level and Rs. 16,000. (Sixteen thousand) will be provided for those studying at the secondary level.

A lump sum scholarship amount will be provided directly to a bank account for one student per class only once per year. The number of qualifications for one worker

Assistance will be available even if the child has reached adulthood.

4. Responsibilities of students and parents:

After receiving the information, study the procedure, prepare all the documents accordingly, and submit the application to the concerned school.

5. Responsibilities of the school:

Disseminate and collect information regarding foreign employment and child scholarships to all concerned students and parents.

Provide recommendations for reopening the classes students are studying in.

The collected application should be prepared in the format as per Schedule-2 and submitted to the concerned department by 2082 Mangsir 7.

Send to the local level.

6. Local level responsibility.

Pursuant to Section 7 (5) of the Procedure for Recommending Foreign Employment Scholarships Received from the School

Making the decision of the education committee.

To use the Secretariat's online system (Foreign Employment Welfare Information Management System-FEWIMS), arrangements will be made to enter the system through focal persons designated by the local level by mid-2082.
