Information about applying for Sanima Bank scholarship

Sanima Bank has been providing scholarships (a monthly cash stipend of Rs. 2,000/- in addition to the fees charged at the educational institution and educational materials) to 2-2 poor and needy students from each branch outside the Kathmandu Valley since the financial year 2068/69 to pursue higher education in the educational institution and subject of the student's choice. Continuing the same scholarship, this bank is inviting applications from poor and needy, backward class and disabled students who have passed the S.E. examination conducted in 2081 BS from among the permanent residents of the districts where Sanima Bank has branches outside the Kathmandu Valley to study at the secondary level (Class 11 and 12). This notice has been published.

The scholarship amount will be as specified by the bank.

Scholarship related information and required documents to be attached:

1) The applicant must be a permanent resident of the district where the bank's branch is located.

2) The applicant must submit an identity card from the ward office where he/she lives, as recommended by the poor and needy, backward class, and disabled person, or as per the requirement.

3) The applicant must have studied continuously for the past three years in a government/community school within the same district and must have secured a minimum grade of 'B' in the SEE in the first attempt.

4) The subjects/faculties available in government and community secondary educational institutions within the same district must be studied. The educational institution and faculty must be chosen by the applicant himself.

5) The scholarship will be awarded only after the applicant has been admitted to the educational institution where he/she wishes to study.

6) The applicant must be studying as a regular student.

7) The final selection of the candidates from the poor and needy, backward classes and disabled will be made by the Scholarship Selection Committee formed by the Bank. The selection process will be impartial. The Scholarship Selection Committee may conduct background checks and interviews of the applicants or their family members. Applicants should not be close relatives of the Scholarship Selection Committee, directors, management committee and employees of the Bank.

8) The scholarship will be effective from the date of admission to the educational institution.

9) The applicant must not currently be receiving any other scholarship.

10) Application forms can be obtained free of charge from the bank's branch office.

11) Documents to be attached with the application form:

Copy of the applicant's birth certificate or citizenship.

Recommendation/Introduction Letter for the Poor and Destitute, Backward Classes and Disabled

One copy of passport size photo.

SEE marksheet and character certificate.

Documents studied.

The applicant must have been enrolled in a government/community school within the district where the branch is located for the past three years.

Copy of father's or mother's citizenship

12) Last date for filling the application form: 31st Ashwin, 2082 during office hours.
