Admission Open Master of Health Informatics (MHI)

The Faculty of Health Sciences, Pokhara University announces the admission open for the Master of Health Informatics for 2026 session.

About the Program

Health Informatics is an interdisciplinary field that integrates healthcare, information technology and data science to enhance the quality, accessibility, and efficiency of healthcare services. It focuses on the management of health data, the implementation of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and the analysis of health information to support evidence-based decision-making in both clinical and public health settings. The Master of Health Informatics (MHI) is a two-year regular program spread over four semesters each lasting for six months.

Eligibility: To be eligible to apply for admission to the Master of Health Informatics program, an applicant must

have:

1. Bachelors in Health and Medical Sciences/Bachelor in Sciences/Engineering (Computer/Software/Information Technology/Electronics/Communication)/Mathematics/Statistics/Environmental Sciences/Computer Applications

II. Bachelor's degree in any discipline and at least one year working experience in health related Government Organizations, research organizations, and NGOs/INGOS

III. Scoring of minimum CGPA 2.0 out of 4.0 (grading system) or 50% (Percentage system) from schools/colleges of Pokhara University or recognized by Pokhara University

Important Activities and Dates: Total Seats 15 (13 Fee Paying & 3 Scholarship as per PU rules)

Last Date for application form submission: 2082/12/19 (April 2nd, 2026)

Entrance Examination: 2082/12/23 (April 6th, 2026). Time: 10:00 AM (Fee Paying) and 2:00 PM (Scholarship)

Personal Interview: 2082/12/24 (April 7th, 2026) (Both Group)

Venue: Faculty of Health Sciences, Pokhara University. Time: 8:00 AM onwards

Publication of Final Result: 2082/12/26 (April 9th, 2026)
