Very important information regarding filling the online application form for the admission process for students from Dalit, Muslim, underprivileged and marginalized communities to study free of cost in pre-diploma and diploma/certificate level programs under the Special Scholarship Program in Technical Education.

As per the letter of Technical Education and Vocational Training Council, Technical Division, Ch. No. 3641, dated 2082.03.19 and the letter of Medical Education Commission, Ch. No. 3, dated 2082.04.02, as per the provisions in the budget and program of the Government of Nepal for the fiscal year 2082/083, 324 students from Dalit, Muslim, poor and marginalized communities at diploma/certificate level and 36 students at pre-diploma level will be eligible to study free technical education under the Special Scholarship Program in Technical Education in the following programs from eligible Nepali citizens.

This notice has been published for the information of all those concerned with submitting the online application form for the recruitment process.

In the case of marginalized communities, only the 22 deprived indigenous groups listed by the Government of Nepal (Banakariya, Baram, Bote, Chepang, Danuwar, Dhanuk, Hayu, Jhagad, Kisan, Kusunda, Lepcha, Majhi, Meche, Kuswadiya, Raji, Raute, Satar, Sinsa (Lhomi), Siyar, Surel, Thami and Thunam) and Haliya and Kamaiya will be included.

3. Minimum Qualifications Required (1) Minimum educational qualifications required for Diploma/Certificate level:

(a) In the case of entrance examinations conducted before the implementation of the alphabetic system:

Having passed the technical S.L.C./Pre-Diploma level examination with a minimum graded score of 2.0 out of 4.0 or its equivalent or having passed the technical S.L.C./Pre-Diploma level examination with a minimum graded score of 1.6 out of 4.0 or its equivalent or having passed the technical S.L.C./Pre-Diploma level examination with a minimum graded score of 68.33 percent in the total marks. Having passed the technical S.L.C./Pre-Diploma level examination with a minimum graded score of 1.6 out of 4.0 or its equivalent or having passed the technical S.L.C./Pre-Diploma level examination with a minimum graded score of 68.33 percent in the total marks.

For programs other than

3(2) Minimum educational qualifications required for the 18-month Pre-Diploma Level Program:

(a) Passed S.L.C. or equivalent examination from a recognized educational institution before the implementation of the alphabet system or

(b) After the implementation of the letter grading system, students who appeared in the S.E.E. examination in all subjects and got Non Graded (NG) in the results
