Notice regarding training for Civil Aviation Medical Examiners (DMEs/SMEs/CAMA)

In view of the shortage of Civil Aviation Medical Examiners (Designated Medical Examiners-DMEs/Specialist Medical Examiners-SMEs and Civil Aviation Medical Assessors) who conduct physical and mental health fitness tests for licenses related to civil aviation in Nepal, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal will arrange training to increase the manpower. Interested doctors who have attained the qualification of Post-Graduate (MD) in ENT/Ophthalmology/Internal Medicine or General Practice and Emergency Medicine or Equivalent and registered with the Nepal Medical Council are requested to submit their applications to this department along with their qualification, experience, training related documents (CV/Bio-Data) within 7 (seven) days from the date of first publication of this notice. Doctors who have obtained the qualification, experience and training of Requirement No. 1.21 (except f of 1.21.2), 1.22 and 1.23 (except d of 1.23.2) of the Medical Requirements (5th Edition) issued by this authority can also apply. Special consideration will be given to those who have worked as medical doctors in airlines. Doctors selected by the Authority will have to provide a bond as per the conditions prescribed by the Authority. Designated Medical Examiners-DMEs, Specialist Medical Examiners-SMEs and Civil Aviation Medical Assessors-CAMA appointed by the Authority after training will have to go to the time and place specified by the Authority and work compulsorily. If the last day for submitting applications falls on a public holiday, applications can be submitted on the next day when the office is open. No action will be taken on applications received after the deadline or before the due date. This department reserves the right to approve/reject the applications received.
