Notice regarding application for accreditation of surveyor in the process of updating the list of independent surveyors regarding import of chemical fertilizers

This notice has been published for applications to the Ministry within 30 days from the date of first publication of the notice from the following qualified organizations to obtain recognition as an independent surveyor to conduct a survey on the quality of chemical fertilizers imported into Nepal in accordance with the Chemical Fertilizer (Control) Order, 2055 (with amendments) issued by the Government of Nepal for the regulation of chemical fertilizers. In addition, organizations that have been listed previously will also have to submit a mandatory application to be re-listed every year.

Qualifications prescribed for surveyor accreditation:

1. The main work performed by the organization includes studies/research and testing on chemical fertilizers, organic fertilizers, biological fertilizers, and raw materials and micronutrients required to produce such fertilizers.

2. The applicant organization should have competent human resources (at least a bachelor's degree in agriculture or a master's degree in chemistry) available for the above survey work.

3. The applicant organization should have a laboratory facility accredited by the Nepal Lab Accreditation Scheme (NEPLAS) for the survey work.

Documents to be attached with the application:

1. Copy of organization registration/establishment certificate.

2. Certified copy of income tax payment certificate or receipt for the previous fiscal year.

3. Certified copies of documents and details revealing the mentioned qualifications.

4. Action plan for conducting survey work.

5. Details of laboratory capacity and testing procedures.
