Notice of promotion through seniority and performance evaluation of non-gazetted second class (technical) posts

For the following posts in the non-gazetted second class (technical) service, group and subgroup to be filled by promotion on the basis of seniority and performance evaluation, prospective candidates are hereby informed to submit their applications to the Secretariat of the concerned Promotion Committee by 2083/01/29, stating the details mentioned in the application form prescribed by the Public Service Commission, in accordance with Section 24G1A of the Civil Service Act, 2049 and Sub-section 4 of Section 14 of the Employees Adjustment Act, 2075.

No action will be taken on the applications received. The application form can be downloaded from the Public Service Commission website www.psc.gov.np

Things candidates should consider when applying:

(a) Candidates who are attached to a non-graded post or a non-gazetted fifth grade post as per Section 24D1A (2) (c) of the Civil Service Act, 2049 BS shall be given a grade

The total service period must be at least 20 years, including the period of service in an unfilled position.

(b) Must have acquired educational qualifications as per (b) of Sub-section (2) of Section 24D1A of the Civil Service Act, 2049.

(c) Must not be disqualified from being a potential candidate for promotion as per Section 22 of the Civil Service Act, 2049 BS.

(d) In calculating the marks for performance evaluation of potential candidates pursuant to Sub-section (3) of Section 24 of the Civil Service Act, 2049 BS, the marks shall be calculated as of mid-Ashar.

And while calculating other marks, the marks obtained till the last date of application specified at the time of publication of advertisement will be counted. (e) The calculation of previous service period will be as per Rule 123 of Civil Service Regulations, 2050. For that, the service period should be certified.

(f) While filling the application form, it is mandatory to mention the reference number received from the National Bookstore (Civil Service).

(g) In the case of educational qualifications that require equivalence determination, a certified copy of the equivalence determination must be submitted.

(h) The details mentioned in all the sections of the application form must be clearly stated.

(i) An application fee of Rs. 500.- (five hundred) will have to be paid.
