Notice of promotion through seniority and performance evaluation of posts in Ungazetted First Class (Technical)

For the following posts in the Ungazetted First Class (Technical) to be filled by promotion on the basis of seniority and performance appraisal, prospective candidates are hereby informed to submit their applications to the Secretariat of the concerned Promotion Committee by 2082/12/03, specifying the details mentioned in the application form prescribed by the Public Service Commission, in accordance with Section 24G1A of the Civil Service Act, 2049 (Fourth Amendment) and Sub-section 4 of Section 14 of the Employees Adjustment Act, 2075 BS. No action will be taken on applications received after the deadline. The application form can be downloaded from the website of the Public Service Commission www.psc.gov.np Matters to be considered by the candidates while submitting their applications

(a) Must have completed the minimum period of service required to be a candidate for promotion as per Section 21 of the Civil Service Act, 2049 BS and be in good standing with the relevant service, group or subgroup.

Must have attained at least S.L.C. or equivalent educational qualification in the relevant subject.

(b)

A potential candidate for promotion must not be disqualified as per Section 22 of the Civil Service Act, 2049.

(c) In the case of candidates as per Rule 76 of the Civil Service Regulations, 2050, the qualifications as mentioned in that rule must be fulfilled.

(d) In accordance with Sub-section 3 of Section 24 of the Civil Service Act, 2049, the marks obtained up to mid-Ashar for the performance evaluation of potential candidates will be calculated, and in calculating other marks, the marks obtained up to the last date for submission of applications specified at the time of publication of the advertisement will be calculated. (

e) While filling the application form, it is mandatory to mention the reference number received from the Civil Service Commission.

(f) In case of educational qualifications for which equivalence is to be determined, a certified copy of the equivalence determination must be submitted. (g) The details as mentioned in all the sections of the application form must be clearly stated.

(h) An application fee of Rs. 700.- (seven hundred) will have to be paid.

The secretariats of the concerned promotion committees are requested to collect the promotion application forms based on this information and proceed with the promotion related action.
