As per the agreement received from the Public Service Commission, the following vacant posts in this council need to be filled permanently, so applications are invited from qualified candidates. A recent passport-sized photograph should be pasted in the specified place of the application form and a copy of the educational qualification certificates obtained by the candidate, a letter certifying that he is a Madhesi from the specified body, and a copy of Nepali citizenship should be prepared and submitted to the Press Council Nepal along with the application. The examination fee should be deposited in the current account number of the Press Council Nepal at Global IME Bank Sinamangal branch. The original voucher deposited in the application should be attached with the application. The application can be submitted by paying double the fee up to 7 (seven) days after the last date of submission of application. If the last day of submission of application falls on a holiday, the application can be submitted until the next day when the office is open. The written examination will be conducted by the Public Service Commission.

Educational qualification

Passed S.E.E. with at least G.P.A. of 2 from a recognized educational institution or passed S.L.C. or equivalent.

Must have passed the pre-qualification examination conducted by the Commission on 2082/7/15 for the post of Assistant Level, Second Class or equivalent in the non-technical side of organized organizations.

Type of exam: - Written, Information Technology Skill Test and Interview.

Examination Center: - After receiving the examination program from the Public Service Commission, information will be provided after publishing the notice in the Public Service Commission, Press Council Nepal, and Gorkhapatra Daily.

Place to submit application: Press Council Nepal Office, Sanchargram Tilganga, Kathmandu.

Documents to be attached with the application: - Copies of educational qualifications and citizenship certificates.

Last date for submitting application: 2083/01/31 and by paying double the fee, 2083/02/07.

Candidate age limit: - 18 years of age and not exceeding 35 years for males, but not exceeding 40 years for females and candidates with disabilities.

Duties to be performed while in office: - Must work under the management of the council.

Salary and services, benefits: - As per the rules of the Council.

Examination Fee: Rs. 500/- (Five Hundred).

Contact Date: - Will be published later in coordination with the Public Service Commission.

Note: As per the order of the Supreme Court dated 2079/10/24 in the petition regarding the remand including Writ No. 078- WO-0660

The positions will be filled accordingly after the legal arrangements are made.

1. Must not be disqualified as per the Press Council Employee Regulations, 2079 BS.

2. The period of double duty will not be counted for the purposes of age, educational qualification, period of experience and other qualifications.

3. Applications that are not submitted within the specified deadline, or that do not meet the minimum qualifications, or that do not include other specified details, or that do not pay the specified fee, will not be accepted.

4. Must have attained the prescribed educational qualification by the last date of application. Candidates who have studied in a foreign institution must submit proof of equivalence of their qualification from the concerned body.

5. The Recruitment Committee shall have the right to cancel any application with or without assigning any reason.

Notification regarding promotion based on performance evaluation

Since the following vacant posts in the Press Council Nepal are to be filled through promotion through performance evaluation, as per Regulation-42 of Chapter-5 of the Press Council Staff Regulations, 2079, candidates who have completed the required educational qualification for a post one level below the post to be promoted and have completed 3 years of service by mid-Asad 2082 (women, indigenous/tribal, Madhesi, Dalit, disabled and employees permanently residing in backward areas may be potential candidates even if they have completed one year less in that period). Candidates who have completed the minimum service period and educational qualification and are not disqualified as per Regulation-43 of the same regulations should submit their applications to the Council Secretariat within 30 days from the date of publication of this notice. Application fee is Rs.1200/- (One thousand two hundred only). Application form and detailed information regarding this can be obtained from www.presscouncilnepl.gov.np.
