Call for Expression of Interest for partnership

Save the Children is an international non-governmental organization working in the field of children. For the past 49 years, Save the Children has been working in the fields of child protection, child rights governance, education, health and nutrition, livelihood and humanitarian aid, focusing on children in various districts of Nepal.

Save the Children invites expressions of interest from qualified non-governmental organizations to run child-centered programs and projects in Saptari district of Madhesh province. The organization interested in filing the Letter of Intent must be registered in the mentioned district and have been doing community mobilization and facilitation work in coordination and cooperation with the local government for at least two years. Under this partnership, activities such as promotion of quality education in Saptari district schools, facilitation of children's club/network, use of child-friendly and environment-friendly technology in education and income generation, farmer group promotion, business consulting and disaster management and humanitarian assistance will be carried out with priority in cooperation and lobbying with the local level and private sector.

Minimum criteria to be fulfilled by the organization for partnership:

a. Registered and renewed in the Social Welfare Council according to prevailing rules.

b. Registered and renewed in the concerned district administration office.

c. Having Permanent Account Number (PAN).

d. Having additional (080/81) tax exemption certificate.

e. Submitted the financial audit report of the last 2 financial years.

Save the Children will give preference to organizations with clear goals and objectives, membership-based, women/youth-led, marginalized and backward classes, sexual and gender minority communities and disabled in the respective districts, inclusive, transparent, neutral and not yet working as partners of Save the Children.

Interested organizations that have met the minimum criteria must submit the attached Letter of Intent containing details and documents as per the EOI Detailed Guidelines. The letter of intent is requested to be sent in the name of Save the Children, Bardibas Field Office, Bardibas, mentioning "Expression of Interest - Strengthening Child Rights Program in Saptari" through E-mail or in a sealed envelope to the address mentioned below, dated 16th June 2082, by 5 pm. Letters of intent received after the specified time period will not be accepted.

Based on the above-mentioned details, only the shortlisted institutions will be included for the selection process. In this regard, if there is any kind of interference behavior on the part of an organization or if it is found to be involved in activities like creating undue pressure, the letter of intent sent by the said organization will be canceled automatically.
