Notice of Invitation to Letter of Intent (EOI) and Directory of Reference (TOR)

The CSO actions for a resilient ecosystem and community- Samvardhan project, which is run with the financial support of the European Union and the Austrian Development Commission and the coordination of Adra Nepal and the partnership of NSAB Nepal, B Group and Fecofan, is running in Kohalpur municipality of Banke district, Rapti Sonari rural municipality and Madhuvan and Thakurbaba municipalities of Bardia district. The project aims to address the various root causes that hinder the social and economic empowerment of the poor, vulnerable and backward groups in the western part of Nepal. The project works closely with community-level civil society organizations (CSOs) to increase their capacity to operate sustainably and to become efficient and effective in order to create long-term impact. In this context, the project has called for Letter of Intent (EOI) from new or existing community entrepreneurs and businessmen based on forestry, agriculture and tourism who are interested in receiving support under the Financial Support to Third Party-FSTP program.
This activity will contribute to enhancing the technical and economic capacity of entrepreneurs and businessmen, strengthening their efficiency, improving business practices and facilitating market access to increase production, as well as improving livelihoods while maintaining forest protection/sustainability.
Purpose of Calling for Letter of Intent (EOI):
The main purpose of this EOI call is to identify, evaluate, and select community-based (forestry, agriculture, and tourism) enterprises that align with project goals. Community-based enterprises related to forestry and agriculture (farmer groups, community forest user groups, cooperatives and individually run enterprises at the community level, which are involved in production of agricultural and forest products, local value addition and market promotion) and tourism enterprises (eg homestay, eco-trail development, construction and promotion of recreation centers/parks, bird and wildlife conservation) can apply as mentioned. loco a
Entrepreneur selection criteria:
Community-based forestry, agriculture and environmental access enterprises and businesses must meet the following standards: 1. In Banke and Bardia districts of Lumbini province, community forest user groups, farmer groups, cooperatives and individually run and registered (previous) or to be registered (new) local community-based enterprises, which should have a functional presence in the project target municipality area. (Preference will be given to enterprises located in the project area.)
2. Economic of Backward Groups, Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Poor and Dalits, Tribal Groups
Must have experience and record of success in empowerment.
3. There should be existing or new enterprises within the development project area.
4. Creation of environmentally friendly jobs should be ensured.
5. Must have good knowledge of local, regional and national markets and have access to market leaders and stakeholders.
Scope of assistance:
Selected enterprises will receive support as follows:
Financial assistance through the FSTP program.
Technical support and guidance on sustainable business practices.
Capacity building training on entrepreneurship, business planning, and financial management.
Liaising and networking with market partners, leading farmer groups and other stakeholders
Opportunity to expand.

Last date for submission of letter of intent is Thursday 28th Chaitra 2081 during office hours. Letters of intent received after the scheduled time and not received promptly will not be accepted.
